The Game of Love

     I was in love with the notion that I could change him. Girls, don’t try this , the experience will just leave you frustrated and disappointed in the end. It is next to impossible task. Courtship is a crucial part, I have been engaged in an analytical discussion over the topic with my male friends, they think that the girls have it easy. They say that “Us” girls, only have to give “The Answer” while they go through all the trouble of wooing the girl.

    Deciding whether to say “yes” to the guy is no small feat. You really have to look deep inside your heart if you really like or love this guy enough to make this commitment with him. If you really want your date to respect you then “be on time”.  Being fashionably late is not fashionable. It’s hard to have fun if you start out on the wrong foot. “I’m not nervous just excited”.

                 Love, many song and stories have been written about it. But the truth pales in countless tears that have been shed by friends and lovers from all nations. No person, having lived life has not sought it at one time or another. Indeed it is the most elusive thing, the end result is pain. Some say they go hand in hand. There is no love when there is no pain, no relationship has ever managed to sail on calm seas. That is where the tenacity and strength of love is tested. How well can it endure and survive stormy weather?

                The game of love is the most difficult game to play. It is a gamble in which a high price is at stroke. It can bring you to ecstatic highs and then to staggering lows in an instant. And yet people play it for no other reason than to feel the feeling of being in love. Is this so? It’s frustrating on both sides. For the girls, if the guy they like never comes their way, it means pain and remorse. For the guys, it’s almost the same thing. They woo the girls and if she turns him down, it also spells P-A-I-N.

                Every relationship sails on stormy seas. It is not always smooth and sailing. Many problems will come to plague your love but if it is strong, if it is TRUE LOVE it will succeed. All I can say is just keep on believing and fight for it.  Frustrating, tiring , difficult and painful it might be, it is still, the special someone that everyone seeks. It is one of the things that makes our life worth living.
